Fellow Flyers,

What a great day!  We had beautiful weather, an awesome collection of Warbirds, fantastic pilots, great food, and most importantly, fun!  Of course, our events are always first class and the  3rd Annual George Fryer Warbird Fun Fly continued the tradition.

As you know our flying events take lots of work and I would like to say thank you to all the members that were able to make it to the field to help and also fly.  I'd also like to extend a special thanks to our MC, Kent Porter (The new proud owner of a ParkZone BNF P-47!); Tito, Charles, and Johnnie for taking on the challenge of running the Broken Prop Cafe; Ira for pushing the Raffle Tickets, and Mike for covering the Pilot Registration.  I'd also like to say thanks to the "field roadies" that completed the set-up and tear down so quickly.  You guys make it look easy!

Thanks to Harry for the coffee and Krispy Kreme sugar pills.  I think those doughnuts kept me running all day :)

I'd also like to offer a special thank you to our host, Alan Hayes.  Alan's generosity is what allows the club to make a few $$$ during these events.  Be sure to stop by the store and say thanks.

We had 33 registered pilots with over 60 aircraft on the field.  George Fryer's family was honored and enjoyed the day, I'm sure he would have also.

Hope to see you soon,

Tom Schillinger
